The Flamingo

Key Allegro Island
Rockport, TX

The Flamingo is a two story 2,200 square foot home built in 1966.  In 2008 we completely gutted the entire interior of the home and remodeled The Flamingo into an entertainment home in "Coastal" style to "like new" status.  The Flamingo is on Redfish Canal.

There are four bedrooms and three baths.  Two master suites have private bathrooms and king size beds.  Two bunk bed rooms have a Hollywood bath between them and two sets of bunk beds in each room.  The den and kitchen are open to each other with open access to an extraordinary back deck.

On the deck, you may dine or lounge in outdoor luxury.  The back deck faces south, is well positioned for afternoon shade, catches the prevailing Southeast breeze and has a huge covered area.  The covered portion of the deck has a dining area suitable for 8. The lounge area includes a sofa, two large chairs and a coffee table.  The entire deck has a nice view of Little Bay.

The Flamingo Lounge is an outdoor bar downstairs that easily services the upstairs deck, the dock area and is a fantastic destination with its own merit.  The Flamingo Lounge has seating for four, a sink and an ice machine with a 300lb bin.

The kitchen features granite counter tops with a large island that seats four people.  Appliances in the kitchen include dishwasher, frig, stove, oven, microwave, disposal and all basic cooking tools.  The indoor dining table seats 8 comfortably.

Fishermen, duck hunters and birding enthusiasts are encouraged to share refreshments under a large nautical chart of the entire Aransas Bay system.  Here you can map your outdoor strategy or pinpoint exactly where you were when it happened.

The Flamingo has indoor stairs and an indoor laundry room.

The Key Allegro swimming pool is two blocks away on Mazatlan. Our family walks or bikes when its not too hot. As guests of The Flamingo, you will have access to the pool.  Paradise Key Bar & Grill and the Key Allegro marina are located next to the swimming pool. Public boat rams are conveniently located throughout Rockport and Fulton. The nearest boat ramp is at the Rockport Beach Park (about a two mile drive), and it is free. Rockport Beach is also great for kids or play and relaxation. The waves are small all of the time, there's almost no current and you can go out a long way without ever getting too deep.
